This is a Centroid M39 retrofit to a ca. 2004 5' x 8' Flexicam router table. The retrofit was completed in December 2014.
The machine is a 3-axis moving-bridge router with a 5HP high-speed main spindle.
The long (X) axis uses twin servos to drive each side of the bridge.
There is a 12-position tool rack and an electronic tool setter at the
X+ end of the table.
The retrofit retained the original Panasonic AC servo motors and drives,
and most of the original control cabinet infrastructure.
The MPU11 control board and GPIO4D PLC and drive interface unit are at the upper left, in place of the original control computer and I/O board.
The M39 control PC assembly is mounted inside the left cabinet door.
